This is an unofficial estimate of the FIDE Standard rating change (FIDE Handbook B.02, effective 1 March 2024): win expectancy with the 400-point cap (uncapped for players rated 2650+), and a K-factor of 20 for players rated below 2400 or 10 for players rated 2400+. This assumes an established player — FIDE's K=40 provisions for new players (<30 rated games) and juniors (under 18, rated below 2300) aren't modeled here. FIDE's actual computation is run centrally by rating period and may differ slightly. Rapid and Blitz ratings use separate pools and are not covered here.
