🎓 Endgame Drill
Random tablebase-eligible endgame positions (7 pieces or fewer). Find a move that keeps the best result — hold the win, hold the draw, or put up the toughest defense — checked live against the Syzygy tablebase.
Analyze a position or game
Click a piece then a destination to play moves (validated). Step through a loaded game with the ◀ ▶ buttons or the ← → arrow keys — every move gets engine feedback, plus the top 3 candidate moves for the position on screen.
Play vs Engine
Click pieces to play moves as White or Black. The engine responds automatically with its best move.
Higher depth plays stronger but takes longer per move — the engine is single-threaded in your browser, so depth 14+ can take many seconds a move.
Loads the game up to its latest move, then hands the position to you — you play your chosen colour from there and the engine replies. Great for taking over a live game and seeing how you'd continue.
Watch a live game, study, or position
Studies and analysis/FEN links load as a static, navigable position (click pieces or use ◀ ▶) — only a game URL/ID streams live.
Loads the whole game (including moves before you connected) so you can step through it with ◀ ▶ and see engine feedback on every move — then keeps following new moves live. Works for finished games too.
